Australia Post spreads the merry

Christmas mail closes early this year… even for Santa.
Australia Post is launching its Christmas campaigns, including a reboot of the “Spread the Merry” campaign and the annual Santa Mail service.
Closing dates for international and domestic parcels have been brought forward in 2020. For ordinary domestic parcels Australia Post recommends presents are posted no later than Saturday 12 December for delivery by Christmas. International sending dates mostly fall in November, with recommended final sending dates to major destinations starting from Monday 16 November.
Last year 120,000 letters were sent to Santa Claus via Australia Post’s Santa Mail service. This year, Santa’s supplicants need to mail their missives by Thursday 26 November to be sure of receiving a response.
Letters to Santa need to be addressed to Santa, North Pole 9999 with a 65c Christmas stamp on the front of the envelope and with a name and return address on the back, so Santa knows where to send his reply. (A large text version is available for children with low vision.)
Santa Mail letters can be placed in any red street posting box, or a dedicated Santa Mail box in participating Post Offices.
